We bought a narrowboat!

Okay so the news that we bought a narrowboat is so September 2015  but I've finally got round to pulling together what we filmed on the way home! It's the first thing I've edited with my GoPro and I'm not sure if it's too fast, but it otherwise seemed too slow - so a bit more practice required I think.

Narrowboat updates will hopefully follow in 2016 - super hard work at the moment finishing my third year at university and working twenty eight hours a week!

Cross Stitch: Mini Solar System

This was a personal project from many months ago that go left behind as I pursued stitching presents for various gifts. However I made the mistake of sharing it with a friend on Skype and it somehow ended up in her birthday & Christmas present bag!

Cycling: A Sportive for 2015

When I started writing this post, I had so many rides planned that I wanted to participate in this year. But alas pay day came, and I felt no better off. My high hopes of treating myself to several entry packs were soon dashed when I started costing up transport too, so I picked the most important one; the century!

Travel: Galicia

A few weeks ago after my last exam I was lucky enough to join my best pal in Spain for a couple of days. The smarty pants is studying Spanish & Politics (or similar) at uni so a year abroad was part of the parcel. Luckily for me I got a few days in a wonderfully mild and mostly dry climate and experienced some fabulous hospitality.I stayed in Santiago de Compostela, but had day trips to A Coruña and Ourense too.

Review: B'TWIN 300 Womens 3/4 Cycling Tights

Image taken from the Decathlon website.

I recently 'splurged' on a pair of B'TWIN 300 Womens 3/4 Cycling Tights from Decathlon. Priced at £9.99, it wasn't exactly an extravagant purchase that pay day and totally necessary with the Mancunian sunshine.

Cross Stitch: Star Wars

I've been busy recently! Unfortunately it hasn't been with essays or exams like it would have been sensible to do so, I've cross stitched until my hands fell apart.

Travel: Disneyland Paris

Earlier this week I was lucky enough to escape to Disneyland Paris for three nights in the middle of my essay and exam stress. Before we went I was majorly confused about what we would do and what there would be to do - what do you do at Disney? Have a magical day of course.

Cross Stitch: Beauty and the Beast

I've recently cross stitched this creation from Clouds Factory. It was intended to be a Christmas present but it's been put away until next year!

Travel: Poland

It has been a bit cold recently and with the stress of university deadlines and exam period looming post Christmas, I miss sunny Poland from earlier this year. We went in the beginning of June after I'd finished university for the summer for a five nights. Starting in Krakow for two nights, we headed to Warsaw for two nights on the train and came back to Krakow for one night before our flight.

Cross Stitch: Pop Art Sugar Skulls

I cross stitched this little beauty a month ago as part of a birthday present for a friends 21st. The pattern is from Plastic Little Covers on Etsy, but I did alter it slightly by changing the positioning and some of the colours as my floss order was sent to the wrong address. I'm always surprised at how long they can take to make, but it's a welcome distraction from my deadlines!
